As China's leading services platform, Meituan operates well-known apps, including Meituan, Dianping, Waimai, Mobike, and Dache, offering over 200 service categories, including catering, on-demand delivery, car-hailing, bike-sharing, hotel and travel booking, movie-ticketing, and other entertainment and lifestyle services in 2,800 cities and counties across China. On September 20, 2018, Meituan (3690. HK) was officially listed on the Main Board of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX), and its current market capitalization ranks in the top 10 among global public Internet companies. Meituan’s revenue hit 97.529 billion yuan in 2019 and 76.877 billion yuan in the first three quarters of 2020. So far, the company has bases in Beijing and Shanghai respectively and plans to build a new base in GBA in line with the national strategy. The new base will be set up as the new headquarters integrating five functions: business development, research and innovation, global expansion, an aggregation area for eco-tech enterprises, and office and residential amenities. The planned investment for the project will top 55.1 billion yuan, including 28.3 billion yuan in fixed assets and 26.8 billion yuan in non-fixed assets.
