Longhua District Government Services and Data Management Bureau has taken initiatives to render accessible and efficient services to satisfy the needs of expats and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan compatriots in the District.

Recently, four foreign teachers from Merchiston International School visited the Longhua District Administrative Service Hall to update their government service accounts. The hall opened a special counter for them and arranged for English translators to help them solve their problems. Equipped with staffers proficient in multiple languages including English, Japanese and French, the service hall provides expats with comprehensive and accurate services such as business consultation and service item handling. The service hall staffers also collect feedback from expats and review relevant government services items to enhance the processing efficiency.

The updated vesion of the Longhua Government Online English-language website was launched in April and features diverse online services. Its expat-oriented sections give clear and simple instructions to better serve expats’ needs in various aspects including government services, foreign affairs and lifestyle guidance in Shenzhen.

Additionally, Longhua District has led the city in promoting self-service medical insurance and social security terminals for compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. They can use their social security cards to handle a total of 33 kinds of medical insurance and social security-related service items at eight administrative halls in the district.
