Longhua showcased its theme of “digital culture and innovation” at the ongoing China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) with a model of “one main venue+10 subvenues+10 supporting events.”

The district set up a booth at Hall 11 of the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, which consists of two parts, with one themed on “emerging digital industry experience” and the other on “cultural innovation.”

During the district’s cultural fair opening ceremony Wednesday, Longhua’s district government and China Media Group Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement to provide joint support for digital culture and cultural tourism development and promote high-quality development in the district’s cultural and tourism industry.

The district’s cultural fair this year has featured a “1 + 10 + 10” lineup, consisting of one main venue, 10 subvenues and 10 supporting cultural events.

Longhua’s main venue’s highlights include digital elements, innovation and immersive experiences.

The 533-square-meter exhibition hall has utilized digital technologies throughout its design, reflecting Longhua’s characteristic watchtower culture, and showcasing cutting-edge technologies such as photonic transparent screens, holographic screens, VR equipment, 3D printing and other digital products.

The subvenues and supporting cultural events have showed Longhua’s flourishing cultural industries, like piano culture, mahogany furniture culture,handicrafts, ceramic culture, as well as emerging industries like e-sports, smart homes and more.

The district now boasts 17 district-level cultural and creative industrial parks, including two national parks, one provincial park, six municipal parks and eight district parks. These parks cover an area of 1,257,900 square meters and house around 1,200 enterprises with an industrial output value of 6.66 billion yuan (US$933.54 million).
