At the media center of this year’s national two sessions — the third session of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) and the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) — a special reporter from Shenzhen Media Group captured widespread attention.

The “reporter” in question is KUAVO, a HarmonyOS-powered humanoid robot developed by Longhua-based tech company Leju Robotics. From street interviews to in-depth, scenario-based coverage, KUAVO not only boosts the media outlet’s efficiency but also highlights Shenzhen’s strength in cutting-edge technology.

According to Leju Robotics, KUAVO previously underwent a trial run as an assistant reporter during Shenzhen's annual sessions. It also served as a video presenter in a multimedia program hosted by Shenzhen TV. Equipped with advanced natural language processing and generation capabilities, KUAVO has conducted interviews with delegates and provided data-driven insights to enrich news reporting.

Designed to jump, navigate complex terrain, and engage in real-time communication, KUAVO robots have also been spotted cheerleading during the torch relay of the 9th Asian Winter Games in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, and on the sidelines of the Asian Cup Table Tennis Championships in Shenzhen.
