A pocket-sized computer built in Longhua District is redefining expectations for personal computing — and taking the global tech market by storm. At CES 2026, one of the year’s most talked-about devices wasn’t a flashy concept but a compact, high-performance MiniPC created by Shenzhen CYX Industrial (CYX). Capable of running blockbuster games like "Black Myth: Wukong" in 4K at 60 frames per second, this palm-sized machine demonstrates not only the potential of smart design, but also the strength of Longhua’s innovation-driven manufacturing ecosystem.

A global contender born in Longhua

Despite its minimalist footprint, CYX’s MiniPC has captured significant global market share. Company data shows it now accounts for 15% of worldwide MiniPC shipments. In Europe, six out of every 10 MiniPCs sold are made by CYX. In the United States, the company has achieved a 40% share in its product category.

CYX’s journey began in 2013 as a small team exporting set-top boxes through overseas traders. A customer’s offhand comment—"Can you make a computer this small?"—sparked a bold pivot. “If there’s demand, we’ll make it work,” recalled company president Dai Yuanjun.

By 2015, CYX released its first MiniPC, which rapidly gained traction in international markets. That early insight into the global trend toward smaller, scenario-based computing devices laid the foundation for the company’s success.

Compact design, full-scale performance

The MiniPC’s appeal lies not just in its size, but in its capability. International tech influencers have taken notice. Indian digital creator Niks praised its all-around performance: “Large storage, strong graphics, full port support, even Wi-Fi 7 — all in a compact frame. It’s a true all-rounder.” American reviewer Jake described it as his go-to media center at home: “The 4K60 output is stunning, and it handles everything from office work to streaming with ease.”

CYX has since expanded its product line to cover entertainment, mobile productivity, content creation, and industrial applications. High-end models can even run AAA games, offering a desktop-grade experience without the bulk.

“MiniPC is no longer just a product — it’s a new form factor,” Dai explained. “Its use cases are far more diverse than we initially imagined.”

Embracing the AI era with scalable innovation

As AI reshapes industries globally, CYX is positioning itself at the forefront by developing a dedicated AI product line. This includes compact servers and edge AI devices designed to bring computing power to businesses of all sizes. The company is also integrating domestic chips — such as those designed by Moore Threads and Innosilicon — to enhance supply resilience and cost-effectiveness.

Patrick, a U.S.-based reviewer, described one such device as “an ideal entry point for AI developers. It’s not the fastest, but it offers incredible value without draining your budget.”

The pivot reflects CYX’s broader strategic thinking. “AI is transforming the way we understand productivity,” said Dai. “There’s a huge opportunity here—and we’re determined to capture it.”

Powered by Longhua’s industrial ecosystem

Beyond product innovation, CYX’s rise is made possible by the robust manufacturing ecosystem of Longhua District. The company operates twin manufacturing hubs in Shenzhen and Mexico, supported by a global sales and service network.

At its Longhua production facility, a new MiniPC rolls off the line every 20 seconds. Across eight fully automated lines, the company has an annual output capacity exceeding 1 million units.

“If ‘Made in China’ is a mark of scale, then ‘Made in Guangdong’ is a mark of quality, flexibility, and speed,” Dai said. “Longhua offers a complete supply chain, strong support infrastructure, and a uniquely collaborative environment. That combination is extremely hard to replicate.”

In 2025, Shenzhen’s foreign trade volume reached 4.55 trillion yuan (US$630 billion), marking its 33rd consecutive year as China’s top-exporting mainland city. The next wave of growth is being driven by agile, export-oriented companies like CYX.
