City’s 1st ecological civilization exhibition hall opens in Longhua

A 1500-square-meters ecological civilization exhibition hall was opened in Longhua District on May 21, which is the first of its kind in Shenzhen.

The exhibition hall aims at displaying the district achievement in building itself into a national-level demonstration area for ecological civilization during the 13th Five-Year Plan period, educating the citizens on Shenzhen fauna and flora and promoting environmental protection awareness and low-carbon lifestyle.


The four major exhibition sections at the hall, entitled “Beautiful Longhua,” “Striving Longhua,” “Nature in Longhua” and “Digital Longhua,” respectively, mainly highlights on the endeavors taken by Longhua District in conserving its ecological environment and nature resources while forage ahead with social and ecological development course.


The “Beautiful Longhua” section elaborates on the connection between Longhua and its mother river Guanlan River from the perspective of history, ecological resources and industrial development.

In the “Striving Longhua” section, citizens can learn more about some major measures taken by the district to cope with water, air, soil and waste pollution as well as to balance ecological conservation and social development.


In the “Nature in Longhua”section, interaction installation and animal specimen are on display to educate citizens on the district’s local biodiversity, animal and plant resources and urban ecological environment.


Citizens can understand the district’s more successful cases on ecological civilization construction and new relevant targets for the 14th Five-Year period in the “Digital Longhua” section.


The exhibition hall only allows group visits at present.
