Seminar elevates intl. consultant network

On Dec. 4, the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) hosted a pivotal seminar where industry experts and influencers gathered for an enlightening international advisory exchange.


The event brought together industry experts and influencers from diverse fields such as international strategic investment, technological innovation industry incubation, brand promotion, and foreign legal risk prevention. It aimed to empower the construction of a new hub for opening-up in the Greater Bay Area with high-level international cooperation and explore future opportunities for global development. Lin Xiaopeng, deputy director of the Government Office of Longhua District, highlighted LICC's instrumental role as the city's largest district-level international exchange and cooperation platform.

Since its inception in October of last year, LICC has garnered widespread attention and support, achieving significant milestones by building an international service system, establishing connections with international projects, and facilitating various exchange activities.


Up to now, the center has received nearly 100 foreign diplomats and officials, facilitated visits by 2,500 corporate entities and organizations,organized 230 international business and exchange activities, and engaged with over 180 international projects.International consultants receive their letters of appointment issued by Longhua International Cooperation Center at yesterday's seminar.


An international consultant appointment ceremony was a highlight of the day, signaling LICC's commitment to further enhancing the platform's ability to support local corporate entities entering the international arena. Twenty-two experts across various sectors have been appointed as international consultants to provide strategic insights and guidance, thereby fostering global influence and aiding in the integration of international talent and businesses into Shenzhen's development strategy.


A panel discussion featuring prominent figures in media, investment, law services, and international cooperation underscored diverse perspectives on current international trends, challenges, and opportunities for collaboration.

Consultant representatives are invited to share their experiences and insights during a salon session at yesterday's seminar.


Gabriela Cojocaru, an influencer, actress, and Shenzhen Global Communication Ambassador, stated that many foreigners face difficulties in finding suitable platforms to learn more about Shenzhen and Longhua District. She suggested establishing a specialized team that speaks multiple languages to promote Longhua District on international social media platforms like Instagram.


Chen Wenyang, president of the Shenzhen Longhua Innovation Ecosystem Service Association, stated, "This group of consultants is extremely valuable as they can integrate various resources to serve businesses, such as international legal consultants assisting enterprises in navigating legal challenges during their international expansion." She mentioned that the association has already released two local standards for enterprises, aiming to provide services for the overseas development of small and medium-sized enterprises.


Priyasha Sharma, an India expat who has been in Shenzhen for almost 11 years, said, "I'm very glad and happy to have received an appointment as one of LICC's international consultants. This is a wonderful platform, and I would like to engage more and more with it. I would love to help other foreigners to navigate Chinese resources. I feel like I can be a strong bridge between these."
