Residents ushered in 2026 with a running event held on Dec. 28 at Shenzhen North Railway Station Central Park in Minzhi Subdistrict, Longhua District.

Organized by the Shenzhen North Railway Station Community and the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC), the race brought together both local and international residents. Upon completing the course, each finisher received a commemorative medal, symbolizing a healthy and energetic start to the new year.

A New Year market was also held alongside the race, featuring a variety of cultural booths for participants, including free calligraphy giveaways, quick quizzes on sports and health knowledge, cooperative games, and free medical consultations.
