The 15th National Games of China, along with the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the 9th National Special Olympic Games, mark the first time that Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao are jointly hosting China’s top-tier, multi-sport events.
Organized every four years by the General Administration of Sport of China, these games are the country’s highest-level and most extensive multi-sport event, showcasing China’s elite athletic prowess.
This edition will be unprecedented in its scope: for the first time, it will be jointly hosted across Guangdong Province, Hong Kong SAR, and Macao SAR, marking a historic milestone in regional collaboration and integration.
The opening and closing ceremony of the Games will be held in Guangzhou and Shenzhen, respectively.
Over 34 competition sports—including Olympic staples like swimming, athletics, and fencing, alongside disciplines such as breaking, skateboarding, and martial arts—will be contested, with athletes converging from provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, and the SARs across the country.
The event is expected to leverage world-class venues—over 90% of which are preexisting facilities, reflecting a strategic emphasis on cost efficiency and sustainability.
Longhua has been selected to host two competitions at the 15th National Games of China: the Women’s Volleyball (U18) tournament and the aeromodeling event. The events will take place across three venues: the Longhua Culture and Sports Center, Jianshang Sports Complex, and Mission Hills Reclub in Guanlan Subdistrict.
