Established in Longhua District in 2022, the Shenzhen Austiger Women’s Volleyball Club (Shenzhen Women’s Volleyball Club) is the only team in China Women’s Volleyball Super League that features an international rooster and market-oriented operation strategy.

The team has made to the final eight for four consecutive seasons in the league.

The first round of the promotion-relegation playoffs from the 2024-2025 season took place at the Longhua Culture and Sports Center on Dec. 21, 2024, where the Shenzhen team faced off against Henan Shuanghui.

In a thrilling match full of twists and turns, both sides battled through five hard-fought sets. Demonstrating remarkable resilience and outstanding teamwork, Shenzhen held their nerve under immense pressure and claimed a 3-2 victory in the first leg on home court.

Notably, this season marked the team’s debut in division B of the league. A total of 15 teams took part in the B-level competition, including senior teams from seven provinces—Henan, Sichuan, Zhejiang, Yunnan, Guangdong, Jiangxi, and Hebei—as well as youth squads from eight top-tier clubs. After several rounds of fierce competition, Shenzhen Women’s Volleyball Club defeated five teams and ended up in the 12th place.
