The U-18 women’s volleyball matches of the 15th National Games kicked off concurrently in Longhua and Nanshan districts on Nov. 6. The nine-day event, with the Longhua Cultural and Sports Center serving as one of the main venues, has brought together 317 athletes, coaches, and technical officials from 12 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country.

Two emerging volleyball talents from Shenzhen, Ding Xinyi and Li Xiang, have been selected to join the Guangdong team.

As a major showcase for the new generation of China’s women’s volleyball players, the event is held in conjunction with the Second National Youth Three Major Ball Games.

To further engage the public, Longhua has introduced an event perks package, offering spectators with event tickets exclusive discounts at designated hotels, scenic spots and shopping areas nearby.

The district has made meticulous preparations in areas such as reception, transportation, and volunteer services to ensure the smooth running of the Games.

It has designated the Grand Skylight International Hotel in Guanlan and the Fashion Town Hotel Shenzhen–MGallery Collection in Dalang as official accommodations for technical officials and athlete teams, respectively.

Festive installations are seen in a community park near Shenzhen North Railway Station in Minzhi, Longhua District.

A service center has also been set up at Shenzhen North Railway Station, which has already provided arrival assistance to over 1,000 athletes. In addition, more than 200 event volunteers and 1,500 city volunteers have been recruited to warmly welcome guests from across the country.

To create a festive atmosphere, Longhua has enhanced the landscapes surrounding competition venues, added over 30,000 square meters of new greenery, and installed National Games mascot-themed decorations featuring Longhua’s cultural elements at key locations across the district.
