Consumer electronics company UGREEN broke ground on Aug. 9 on a new headquarters campus in Longhua District that is planned as a low-carbon, digitally managed industrial complex.

Located at the intersection of Jinfeng and Zhongxin roads in Dalang Subdistrict, the development will bring together UGREEN’s corporate offices, core research and development operations and global business functions. The site is close to the Longlan Advanced Manufacturing Corridor, one of Longhua’s key industrial zones.

The project covers 28,529.79 square meters, with a planned gross floor area of 146,450 square meters. It will include offices and employee accommodation, as well as hardware laboratories, product testing facilities and a global cross-border operations center.

UGREEN said the campus would follow what it describes as “fourth-generation industrial park” principles, combining low-carbon development with intelligent property management and employee-oriented services. Its design is also intended to integrate the complex with the surrounding environment and urban landscape.

The groundbreaking marks the start of construction on a permanent headquarters for the company, replacing its long-term reliance on leased office and research space.

UGREEN acquired the redevelopment project in May through a 1.08-billion-yuan (US$150 million) restructuring investment agreement with Zhongzhi Real Estate (Shenzhen). The site was previously part of an industrial redevelopment project in Yuanfen Village, and its revival is expected to provide new space for research and other high-value business operations.

Founded in 2012 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange’s ChiNext board in July 2024, UGREEN develops, manufactures and sells consumer electronics products for charging, audio and video, data storage and office applications.

The Longhua-based company reported revenue of more than 9.4 billion yuan in 2025. Its products were sold in more than 180 countries and regions, with annual shipments exceeding 100 million units and a global user base of more than 300 million, according to the company.

UGREEN said it holds 40 invention patents, 430 utility model patents and more than 1,690 design patents. The new campus is expected to support its expanding international research, operations and supply-chain activities while strengthening Longhua’s digital economy and consumer electronics industries.
