The Shenzhen Longhua District Employment & Entrepreneurship Base for Disabled Persons, also known as Phase 1 of the IC Entrepreneurship Space, was jointly established by the Longhua District People's Government and the district's federation for the disabled. It serves as a base to incubate startups that are founded by disabled individuals or develop accessible facilities. The base offers free working space and resources to assist them in growing into mature enterprises.
The space was put into use in 2019. It was recognized as the first incubation base for startups set up by disabled individuals. So far, the space has incubated a total of 45 firms with 209 disabled employees.
These companies are engaged in human resources, AI labeling, e-commerce, software development, and English translation. Some associations, social organizations, and therapists have also been invited to settle in the space.
