A community event was held at Guanlan International Service Center in Longhua District on August 27. Nearly 40 Chinese and foreign residents gathered together to experience xun, a traditional music instrument.

At the beginning of the event, a xun artist led everyone to understand the origins, structure and classification of this ancient music instrument through vivid explanations. Then, the artist mesmerized the audience with a xun performance, allowing them to feel the magical charm of traditional Chinese music. 

After the performance, the artist not only shared the performing techniques of xun but also personally teached the participants how to play it. The participants also learned crafting xuns with clay at the event.

This event, centered around xun and traditional Chinese music, enhanced communications and exchanges among Chinese and foreign residents. More cultural experience activities will be held at Guanlan International Service Center in the future to create a warm and wonderful community atmosphere.
