Over 20 local and expatriate residents gathered at Guanlan International Block Service Center on the afternoon of Nov. 5 to appreciate the unique charm of Chinese traditional music at a cultural exchange event introducing the guzheng, a traditional Chinese musicial instrument.

The event was kicked off by a captivating guzheng performance of “Jianjia,” a piece inspired by a poem from “The Book of Songs.”

The participants also learnt how to play “沧海一声笑(Cāng hǎi yī shēng xiào)” on the guzheng from the performer at the event.
