Starting yesterday, the division’s adult and children’s sections are accessible without needing reservations. As a new cultural landmark in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Library’s north venue boasts six above-ground floors and three underground floors with 2,500 seats. The adult section on the second to fifth floors and the children’s section welcome readers from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. The adult section on the first floor is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday, providing access to newspapers and magazines. The library conducts facility maintenance Mondays, with the first floor reading area open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. An array of activities will be held at the north division during the Spring Festival holiday, featuring events like cultural lectures, Cantonese opera performances, and shadow puppet shows to create a festive ambiance for bibliophiles.
