Spring has arrived in Longhua District with the opening of the Guanlan Cherry Blossom Festival at the Mission Hill Ecological Sports Park, where thousands of cherry trees are now in bloom. The seasonal display has transformed the park into one of Shenzhen’s most colorful spring destinations, drawing residents and visitors to enjoy the blossoms and the mild weather.
A highlight of the festival is a nearly 100-meter cherry blossom avenue planted with several varieties, including Yoshino and Yaezakura cherry trees. Their soft pink and white blossoms form a striking canopy overhead, while petals drift gently in the breeze, creating a picturesque setting for visitors strolling along the pathway.
The festival has become a popular spring outing for families, photographers and nature lovers. Visitors wander through the flowering lanes, stop to admire the blossoms up close, and capture photos beneath the trees as children play nearby.
According to organizers, the cherry blossoms are currently at their peak and are expected to remain in bloom through mid-March.
