These century-old villages are away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, quietly nestled in a corner, providing spiritual nourishment to the city with their rich cultural heritage. In Longhua District, there is an abundance of ancient villages, which are scattered widely in subdistricts such as Guanlan, Dalang, Guanhu, and Fucheng. The Shangwei Art Village, formerly known as Shangwei Old Village, is located at the source of the Zhangkengjing River in Guanhu Subdistrict, surrounded by mountains on three sides. This traditional Hakka village, with a history of 400 years, spans about 22,000 square meters and exudes an artistic atmosphere. Currently, nearly 100 artists and designers have settled here, breathing new life into the old houses with fresh ideas and concepts, transforming them into cultural and creative masterpieces. The village also houses the Shangwei Film Museum, which features detailed historical materials, comprehensive collections and lively exhibitions.
