Unique Ecological Environment 

Guanlan Subdistrict covers an area of 34.6 square kilometers with over 40 percent of its total space located within the ecological control line.

It has:

(i) Mission Hills Tourism Resort — one of the only two National 5A Scenic Attractions in Shenzhen 

(ii) National 4A tourist attraction Guanlan Shanshui Tianyuan Tourism Culture

(iii) Integrated theme park Mission Hills Terra Art Ecological Park

(iv) A total of eight rivers including Guanlan and Niuhushui rivers, four reservoirs such as Changkeng and Shimajing, and a number of high-quality community parks, laying an ecological foundation for sustainable development.

Time-Honored Culture and History

Hakka people settled in Guanlan four hundred years ago and created unique culture here.

(i) Cultural Relics

Guanlan Subdistrict has a total of 93 immobile cultural relics, 18 ancient buildings built in Qing Dynasty, 1,300 Hakka residences, 67 Hakka forts, 13 district-level protected historical and cultural sites , 14 private school sites, and three key ancient villages.

It has:

* Guanlan Ancient Market: The only remaining market site from Qing Dynasty in Shenzhen. 

* Guanlan Ancient Temple: The temple was built during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in Qing Dynasty.

* Chen Yanqiao Exhibition Hall: The former residence of Chen Yaoqiao, a pioneer of modern wood block print.

* Guihutang Walled Village: A district-level protected cultural heritage.

* Qiming School: Former site of an ancient private school.

(ii) Folk Custom 民俗

* Kylin Dance: It was selected as one of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Guangdong Province in 2007

* Hakka folk songs: There are more than 2,000 Hakka folk songs in seven categories.

(i) Wood block printing

* China· Guanlan Printmaking Original Base: world's largest original wood block printing industrial base

* China Printmaking Museum: The first professional printmaking museum in China

(ii) Chinese Rosewood

* Shenzhen Furniture Museum of Rosewood: The only authorized rosewood furniture museum in Guangdong Province.

* "Guanlan Cup" National Rosewood Design and Engraving Competition: The competition is held annually since 2013 and showcases the craftsmanship of Chinese rosewood art.
