To further promote the exchange and cooperation between Longhua District and Portuguese-speaking countries, the 2023 Brazil-Portugal GBA innovation demo day was held at the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) on the afternoon of November 3 in Shenzhen.

This event is themed “Cross-border Tech Cooperation - Empowering Greater Bay Area Innovation - Sharing Investment and Financing Opportunities”. Standing Committee Member of CPC Longhua District Committee and Deputy District Mayor Xu Zhibin chaired the meeting. The district’s industrial sectors, Longhua Industrial Capital Investment Co., Ltd, as well as relevant local companies and districts' financial institutions, joined the meeting.

During the event, Portuguese Vice Consul General Mário Ferreira in Guangzhou and Brazilian Consul General Alan Coelho de Sellos, along with Gobi China, provided insights on their respective situations and expressed high hopes for future collaborations with Longhua District.

Xu Zhibin provided detailed information about industrial investments in the district. He emphasized that the exchange and cooperation between Longhua District and Portuguese-speaking countries such as Brazil and Portugal will further promote friendly collaboration in areas such as talent exchange, technological innovation, industrial development, and information sharing. This serves as an excellent platform for mutual learning and deepening innovation cooperation. Each other’s strengths shall be leveraged and talent integration accelerated, so as to advance cooperation in areas such as cutting-edge technology smart healthcare, and digital fashion in the era.

Simultaneously, a roadshow and discussion meeting for relevant companies from Portugal and Brazil took place, along with a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement between Longhua District. Representatives from seven enterprises in Portugal and Brazil participated in the conference and successively presented their roadshows. They had match-making with local industrial departments, related businesses, and financial institutions on issues like industrial land, talent policies, market expansion, and capital financing.

Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) is a comprehensive international exchange and cooperation platform built by Longhua District. LICC offers comprehensive support and services, including 335 items of foreign-related government affairs consultation, foreign-related investment and management consultation, settlement management of international chambers of commerce, and promotion of enterprise projects.
