1.Expectations and tasks as a LICC Volunteer

1)District Development

Assistance in international activities or conferences, legal aid, visa and residence permit consultation, foreign children’s school enrollment, international study consultations, healthcare advice, and traffic order guidance, etc.

2)Language Services

Participation in correcting foreign language signs in the community, offering tour guide services, and translating at events, etc.

3)Cultural ExchangeAssistance in organizing activities such as foreign language corners, Chinese language learning sessions, traditional Chinese clothing experiences, tea culture events, Chinese calligraphy and painting, Cantonese cuisine exchange, and support in photography, videography, talent shows, and charity performances, etc.

4)Community Services

Guidance on waste sorting, care for children, elderly, and individuals with disabilities, community teaching support, and assistance to those in need, etc.

2.Here are the qualifications for becoming a LICC Volunteer

1)Possess basic abilities and physical fitness for participating in volunteer services.

2)Be enthusiastic about social welfare and volunteer service.

3)Adherence to laws and regulations, as well as the relevant provisions of the volunteer service organization.

4)International friends working/living in Longhua or Chinese residents with a certain level of proficiency in foreign languages.

4.Training of LICC Volunteers

The first time being Volunteer? Lack of experience? Never mind! We will offer professional training of volunteers!

LICC Volunteer Service Capacity Workshop: We will invite professionals in the social work field, experts from social organizations, and leaders of well-established volunteer service teams to share volunteer service experiences and provide guidance for the development of LICC volunteer service teams.
