A Spring Festival Invitation - "Chinese New Year, Global Festival"

A century-old tradition takes the lead, with Spring marking the beginning of the four seasons. On December 4, 2024, the "Spring Festival, social practices of the Chinese people in celebration of the traditional new year" was added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The Spring Festival belongs to China, and it also belongs to the world. The customs and activities associated with the Spring Festival have spread to nearly 200 countries and regions, becoming a global cultural event. In 2025, we will celebrate the first "World Intangible Cultural Heritage" version of the Spring Festival.

On January 24th at 16:00,

welcome to Shenzhen Hong Kong Pui Kiu College Longhua Xinyi School,

and join friends at home and abroad to explore the deep integration of education and culture,

immerse ourselves in the rich cultural heritage of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area,

and experience a unique "Snake" color for this Spring Festival!

Celebrate the New Year with a unique flair—

Experience a unique festive atmosphere inspired by the "Twelve Zodiac Animals".

immerse yourself in Spring Festival traditions with vibrant stalls blending the intangible cultural heritage of GBA.

Join the lively and bustling New Year garden party and make sure this winter is anything but dull!


PART 1. Intangible Heritage Delicacies on the tip of the Year of the Snake

In addition to local traditional snacks such as cotton candyglutinous rice ballsrice puddingsugar paintingmugwort cakesginger tea, and Hakka glutinous rice cakes,

this event will also take you on a journey through the Greater Bay Area,

stepping into the streets of Hong Kong and Macao,

where you can savor Hong Kong-Macao specialty foods like egg tartsand egg waffles,

rekindling the flavors of the Spring Festival in the Bay Area with your tongue.

PART 2. An Immersive Journey into Intangible Heritage

Spring Festival isn't just about food—

It's also about experiencing the charm of intangible heritage.

Throughout the event, there will be various cultural experience booths.

Diverse Maijin painting and printmaking, simple and elegant Chinese tea art,

the firing technique of the red-glazed porcelain "Man Tang Hong"

 (meaning "fully red" or "completely auspicious"),

and the Kylin Dance in Dachuankeng Village.

Each art form adds a special brilliance to the New Year celebrations, 

all these activities are filled with the charm and fun of traditional Chinese New Year customs

amidst a rich cultural atmosphere.

In addition, there are special booths for the "Intangible Cultural Heritage in Schools" theme,

featuring Peking Opera helmetsMiao silver jewelrycreative works inspired by Dunhuang,

as well as exhibitions of international education achievements.

These booths invite everyone to step into the memories of intangible cultural heritage within the school campus,

witnessing the continuous transmission of intangible cultural heritage in education.

PART 3. The Energetic Games of Intangible Cultural Heritage

After tasting intangible heritage delicacies and trying your hand at heritage crafts,

why not test your skills in traditional intangible heritage games—

arrow-throwing into a vase, ceremonial archery, blindfolded drum-beating...

A collision of physical strength and intellect, igniting unique sparks this Spring Festival.

 

PART 4. Advanced Technologies Display


Amid the sparkling stars of intangible heritage,

the brilliance of technology quietly shines,

injecting fresh vitality into the traditional Spring Festival.

The magnificent Yingge Dance of Chaoshan,
