Event Topic
“Chinese Stories, World Expression”
- Use the global language to tell Chinese stories within the SDGs framework.
Participants are expected to deliver speeches under the UN SDGs framework, addressing topics including the fine traditional Chinese culture, Shenzhen innovation, and the global community of shared future. Through this event, we encourage youngsters to pay attention to the global issue of sustainable development and do something to make their peers around the world better understand and tell Shenzhen’s and China’s stories of sustainable development and innovation.

Event Procedures
· July to September: Preparation
· Sep 1st to Sep 30th: Registration and video work submission
· Early October: Preliminary online review and finalists released for offline review
· Late October: Offline final performance and review
Please note that the specific details regarding the offline evaluation, result announcement, and offline performance time will be separately announced.
Participant Groups
I. Chinese youth groups:
Students are classified into four groups: A, B, C and D. Group A: 1st-3rd grade of primary school (lower group); Group B: 4th-6th grade of primary school (upper group); Group C: Junior high group; Group D: Senior high group (including vocational schools).
II. Specially invited international groups:
Students are classified into four groups: U1, U2, U3 and U4. Group U1: Aged from 6-8; Group U2: Aged from 9-11; Group U3: Aged from 12-14; Group U4: Aged from 15-18.
Event Requirements
1. The speech content must be original and aligned with the theme of this event.
2. Record your speech video independently and upload it, keeping the video length within 3-5 minutes.
3. The language of the speech shall be English or other foreign languages, and bilingual subtitles in both Chinese and a certain foreign language are required.
Submission Methods
I. Chinese youth groups:
Scan the QR code below to fill in the application form and send the file including the video and the application form to the email box zgsns2025@163.com by the deadline. Please name the video and the email like this: Group A+Name+City Name+School Name
II. Specially invited international groups:
Please refer to the official website of UNITAR (https://unitar.org/) for detailed information concerning registration channels and methods.
Note: Please select the appropriate group based on your actual circumstances when registering, and do not register repeatedly.
Award Settings
Online Preliminary Review
Entries are evaluated by group according to speech content, delivery, language proficiency etc., and the average score for each participant is then reviewed by specialized reviewers. Proportional to the number of participants in each group, awards include special, first, second, and third prizes with official certificates,and special prize winners will be eligible for offline final review.
Offline Final Review
Each group will have champion, runner-up, second runner-up, excellent instructors and other awards, with all honorees receiving the official certificates and certificates of participation from The UNITAR Prosperity Alliance Shenzhen (GBA) Center.
Outstanding works creators will be accessible to have their work featured on UNITAR's official website.
