PART.THREE - Printmaking Practice

Relief printing refers to a technique where a design is carved with different cutting tools into a matrix, such as wood, stone, brick, paper, plaster, linoleum, plastic, or metal. The negative space (non-image areas) is excised through carving, cutting, chiseling, or incising, while the positive space (raised image areas intended for inking) remains. Paint or ink is then applied to the raised surface, and the image is transferred to paper or other media through rubbing or pressing.

Printmaking process is explained and demonstrated by specialized public education teacher from the museum, and learners are given opportunities to practice hands-on relief printing techniques to explore the unique charm of printmaking art.

Coming next in the “Explore Longhua · International Experience” Activities for Expats to Experience the Internationalized Longhua District will be Longhua ecological cycling, Chinese-Foreign friendship football match, consumption experience in the international business circle, etc..
