Why not give traditional Chinese medicine a try

SOURCE:LICCPUBDATE:2025-10-22

Over the last two days,

LICC have received lots of positive feedback ——

“My neck felt so much better after the acupuncture!”

“A few minutes of acupressure

actually made my headache go away.”

What’s behind all this magic?

None other than

Traditional Chinese Medicine therapies (TCM)!

On October 19,

the LICC Global Reading Room

transformed into a “TCM Culture Experience Zone”

where 30 Chinese and international residents

gathered for a truly immersive journey

into the heart of Chinese medicine.

“Have you ever tried TCM wellness treatments?”

“Ever heard of cupping?”

We had no idea — until the doctor asked —

that so many people were potential fans of TCM!63b5db3e8399723ad7312511d6ba9bf9.jpeg

LICC gave it a try too —

turns out I have clogging, cold-dampness

and even deficiency of the kidney.

Alright,

I’ve decided to start taking my health seriously

from today!

Beyond the theory, we also hosted a hands-on session

for making calming herbal neck pillows.

Following doctors’ guidance,

everyone measured herbs, filled pouches,

and sealed them up.

Somebody sniffed and said:

“Just this scent alone will

put me to sleep immediately tonight!”

Over in the massage and acupuncture experiencing zone,

licensed therapists gave live demonstrations and explanations.

Even though it was just a brief, safe neck treatment,

everyone itched to give it a try.

“So that sore, swollen and numb feeling means it’s working —

not that the doctor’s pressing too hard!”

Finally, a friendly reminder from LICC:

Though Traditional Chinese Medicine is great,

Let's not make it a frequent fate!
