Wheat Straw Painting is a traditional Chinese craft made from wheat straws through more than a dozen processes, including steaming, scraping, cutting, and ironing. Known for its natural luster and texture, the artworks offering strong three-dimensional effects, environmentally friendly and excellent durability. Originating in the Qin and Han dynasties, this craft was once used as palace adornments and royal tributes. Later, combined with folk legends, it evolved into a form of blessing-themed art. It is a traditional Intangible Cultural Heritage of China.
