On November 22nd,
we gathered at the
Hongshan Community Service Center
to turn wheat straws into blooming art.
In the Wheat Straw Art Exhibition Hall, our foreign friends kept taking photos, while Chinese residents explained the stories behind the craft as they walked. The venue instantly transformed into a “Pop-up Wheat Straw Art Lab.”
Once seated, everyone began their wheat straw handcraft creation.
Kids whipped up crafts so quickly.
As Angele pasted the pieces on, she exclaimed:“I love this so much! I made two!”
When the pigments were spread,
the water surface turned into a “flowing palette”.
With one gentle dip,
each fan lifted out a one-of-a-kind pattern.
The warmth of the wheat straw
and the fluid beauty of lacquer artbrought everyone closer
through the joy of handmade craft.
In the charm of intangible cultural heritage,
Chinese and international residents have deepened their friendship
and cultural exchange became
more natural and heartfelt.
