As the first district in China to propose a pioneering low-altitude economy zone, Longhua is bringing Shenzhen’s “Sky City” vision to life. Here, the low-altitude economy is not an abstract concept but part of everyday life. Whether you take an “air taxi” for a quick commute or benefit from drone services, you can feel the potential and distinctive appeal of an activated urban sky.

In Longhua, you can experience an "air taxi" service. How fast are these helicopter routes?
"Within one hour, you can reach all major cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. For example, a typical trip from Shenzhen North Railway Station to Zhongshan takes only 25 minutes," said Wei Zhikai, a staff member from the Longhua District Emergency Management Bureau.

The innovative “low-altitude + rail” model expands travel possibilities further. The Shenzhen North Railway Station hub — the first in China to integrate air and rail transport — offers intercity flights, urban shuttles, business travel and emergency rescue services, raising the standard of urban mobility.
A thriving industrial and application hub
Longhua is now home to 445 companies in the low-altitude economy sector. In 2025, the district’s industrial-grade unmanned aerial vehicle application cluster was recognized as a Guangdong Province Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Characteristic Cluster.

At the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC), Shenzhen’s largest district-level platform for international cooperation and services, leading drone manufacturers display a wide range of models. The center’s International Marketing Center for Enterprise Products allows visitors to see these advanced drones up close, according to LICC staff member Wang Jiayin.

From drone-delivered coffee to firefighting, emergency response and medical transport, drones are being deployed across an expanding range of scenarios in Longhua.
A new test flight site is planned near Dalang Fashion Town, home to many fashion company headquarters, creating a distinctive fusion of creative design and cutting-edge technology.

Meanwhile, drone light shows paint the night sky, showcasing Longhua’s innovative spirit and bold vision for the future of low‑altitude technology.
