Yesterday, the Winter Solstice event was transformed into a “creative workshop”! As soon as the white, red, green, purple and yellow doughs were laid out, everyone rolled up their sleeves and began making dumplings.

Flour Party

The instructor deftly kneaded the dough and demonstrated each step. Residents from both China and abroad followed along—rolling out wrappers and preparing fillings.

The aroma of fillings like corn and pork, and zucchini and egg, was wrapped inside the colourful dumpling wrappers. Everyone dispayed particularly impressive skill.

Black sesame and red bean paste were tucked inside the purple and yellow sweet dumplings, promising a delightful surprise. Everyone laughed and remarked,"This is much easier than making dumplings!"

Once cooked, the dumplings were delicious. With the first bite, warmth spread from the stomach to the heart.

This Winter Solstice, we made dumplings and gained laughter and friendship across borders.
