Tree Planting Day always makes people think of planting greenery and sowing hope. At LICC, that vision of spring has already taken shape in a way you can truly see and feel.

Today, LICC is home to a visible touch of spring. Peach blossoms in bloom, festive kumquat trees, fragrant osmanthus, cinnamon tree, and other plants now grow together in a mix of colors and textures, giving the season a vivid presence throughout the space. This burst of life is a springtime gift, created through the careful transplanting efforts of many helping hands.

What makes this greenery even more meaningful is the people behind it. Chinese and international residents worked side by side, transplanting each plant together. Some steadied the branches and leaves, some pressed the soil into place, and others adjusted the arrangement. Through this shared effort, plant by plant, the growing boxes at LICC were gradually filled with new life.

People from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds came together in this spring to do something truly meaningful, brought together by the same love of nature and the same hopes for life.

After the planting was done, everyone also wrote their own adoption card. Some wrote blessings, while others wrote down their hopes and wishes. These small cards gave the plants a sense of warmth and made this spring at LICC something worth remembering.
In the end, what makes Tree Planting Day so moving is not simply how much greenery is planted. What matters even more is that people are willing to bend down together, lend a hand, write down their blessings, and leave a piece of their heartfelt sentiment behind.

Looking again at this vibrant corner of LICC, one can see that what is growing here is not only plants, but also the warm connections between people, and the gentlest, most vivid spirit of spring itself.
