On the afternoon of March 25, the International Renowned Enterprises China Business Delegation from Spain's San Telmo Business School visited Longhua. A total of 85 senior executives from foreign-funded enterprises representing 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and the United States, visited Meituan | Longhua, Shenzhen National Local Service Consumption Big Data Operation Center. Meituan introduced the enterprise's development and showcased its innovations in digital operations, smart delivery, and scenario-based applications, with a particular focus on its smart delivery systems such as drones and autonomous delivery vehicles. A live demonstration of the drone delivery process was also presented. The visiting guests gained a direct understanding of Meituan's latest advances in intelligent delivery and further learned about Longhua's progress in the digital economy and technological innovation.
Upon arriving at Meituan's Big Data Operations Center, the visit unfolded through on-site displays and presentations. As the introduction progressed, the visiting guests gained a more clear understanding of Meituan's development trajectory in China, as well as its presence in local life services, digital operations, technological innovation, and international business. What might otherwise have remained an abstract concept of "digital capability" became concrete through the on-site presentation.

As the tour continued, the smart delivery section became a major focal point. Drones, autonomous delivery vehicles, and related application scenarios came into view one after another. From business introductions and physical displays to scenario-based demonstrations, the visit provided a more concrete answer to how technology is being integrated into urban life. Through these presentations, the guests not only witnessed Meituan's continued exploration in the field of smart delivery, but also saw the vitality Longhua has demonstrated in the digital economy, technological application, and the cultivation of new business models.

The visit was not merely a matter of "walking through and watching". During the interactive exchange session, the guests engaged with Meituan on topics such as corporate development, platform operations, and technological applications. In particular, questions concerning the scale of China's local life services market and its delivery system sparked strong interest among the participants. Through this exchange, data and operating models that had initially appeared only in presentations gradually became a more understandable and perceptible reality.

The outdoor session, meanwhile, truly brought everything to life. At the drone delivery site, the guests watched a live drone delivery demonstration and closely observed specific stages of the process, including arrival at the station and final handover. As the delivery process unfolded step by step in a real-world setting, technology ceased to be merely a concept on a screen and instead became a tangible, observable experience right before their eyes.

This was not the first encounter between Longhua and Spain. Over the past period, exchanges between the two sides have continued to advance.

In January 2026, Consulate General of Spain in Guangzhou and a delegation from the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in China visited the Shenzhen (Longhua) International Cooperation Center. During the visit, they learned in depth about the Center's work in promoting China-Spain friendship, supporting enterprises in expanding into the European market, and facilitating the establishment of European enterprises in Shenzhen. The two sides also formed cooperation intentions in areas including the establishment of a Shenzhen representative office for the Chamber, joint economic, trade, and cultural exchange activities, and business matchmaking.

In November 2025, Longhua District and the Chartered Community of Navarre, Spain, signed a Memorandum of Friendly Exchange and Cooperation, taking exchanges between the two sides a step further.
In December 2025, Antonio Miguel Carmona, President of the Spain-China Friendship Association, visited Longhua, held in-depth exchanges with relevant parties, and attended a business matchmaking event. He engaged with Longhua enterprise representatives on topics including European market expansion, resulting in multiple cooperation intentions.

These repeated exchanges have steadily deepened the ties between Longhua and Spain, while also building greater mutual understanding and trust through sustained interaction.
This visit provided both sides with a more direct understanding of one another and created greater room for future exchanges. For the visiting guests, it was an opportunity to experience Longhua’s development vitality at close range; for Longhua, it also served as a window to showcase its innovative scenarios, industrial ecosystem, and open, outward-looking posture.

Going forward, Longhua will continue to strengthen its ties with overseas institutions, further promote its key sectors, priority industries, and leading enterprises, tell the story of Longhua well, and showcase the opportunities Longhua has to offer, so that more international resources can come to Longhua, and contribute fresh momentum for cooperation to the development of Longhua as a model district for an international metropolis. It is also hoped that more international enterprises and friends from abroad will visit Longhua in the future, deepen mutual understanding through continued exchanges, seek cooperation through greater interaction, and turn each encounter to gradually evolve into a more enduring connection.
