Road extension facilitates travel between Longhua, Futian and Nanshan
Work on the northward extension of Qiaocheng Road East kicked off recently. Upon completion, the passage, connecting Longlan Avenue in Longhua with Binhai Boulevard in Nanshan, will improve travel efficiency between Longhua, Futian and Nanshan Districts.
The extension project, spanning 15.7 kilometers from Fulong Road in the north to Binhai Boulevard in the south, will feature six lanes with a design speed of 80 km/h. It includes five new tunnels piercing through Tanglang Mountain, three main bridges (6.7 km with ramps), and four interchanges.
Once operational, residents in Longhua can bypass the congested Meilin Checkpoint and Huanggang Road, slashing travel time to Shenzhen Bay.
