Longhua govt. seeks cooperation in Europe

A delegation led by Longhua District Mayor Lei Weihua paid visit to France, Germany and the Netherlands in seek of cooperation, investment and talents in advanced manufacturing, fashion and energy industries from March 13 to 22.


The delegation visited seven cities including Paris in France, Munich and Cologne in Germany and Utrecht in the Netherlands, held two exchange meetings and signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with nine entities during the 10-day Europe trip.


The delegation's visit to Paris shed light on more cooperation opportunities in fashion and emerging industries. They agreed with Cathy Capital to jointly set up a QFLP (qualified foreign limited partnership) fund to attract more projects to Longhua, discussed with Galeries Lafayette Group to introduce the district's local fashion brands to the European market, and welcomed IRO, a Paris-based ready-to-wear brand, to set up its regional headquarters in Dalang Fashion Town.

In Germany, the delegation visited German Aerospace Center (DLR), RWTH Aachen University and the overseas branch of Shenzhen Grepow Battery Co., Ltd. to seek for cooperation in high-tech industries such as aerospace, bio-medicine, life science, and robot engineering; in higher education, scientific and technological research and talent introduction and in supporting more local enterprises tap into overseas market.


The delegation signed MoUs with China Europe International Business School, Creative Valley, Cathy Capital, Chinaforum Bayern e.V., International Federation of Robotics, Think Tank Network, Silk Tree Consulting and SPIZES Creative Consulting and promoted the district's business environment, investment opportunities and preferential policies at exchange conferences on digital transformation of intelligent manufacturing industry in Munich and economic and trade cooperation in Utrecht, respectively.
