Several Shenzhen enterprises reaped a good harvest at the annual China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), which was held in Haikou, Hainan Province on Tuesday.

The expo, which will run through Saturday, serves as an efficient bridge connecting resources at home and abroad. It aims to become a national-level exhibition featuring top-notch consumer products.

Shenzhen organized an economic and trade exchange conference Tuesday to build an economic and trade cooperation platform for both domestic and foreign enterprises. The city and buyers later signed a letter of intent amounting to nearly 200 million yuan (US$29.04 million). 

The expo attracted exhibitors from around 150 enterprises from home and abroad.

Some Shenzhen enterprises like Shenzhen Pango Medical Electronics Co. Ltd., Shenzhen Grandsun Electronic Co. Ltd., China Yong Feng Yuan Co. Ltd. and GEE.D signed purchase agreements and cooperation intentions with Hainan Huipu Technological Cooperation Co. Ltd., Hainan Hongke Trade Co. Ltd., Light of Silk Road (Beijing) Culture Co. Ltd. and Hunan Yanzhi Youwu Science & Technology Co. Ltd., among others. These cover multiple fields such as consumer electronics, modern fashion and high-quality porcelain.

To assist Shenzhen enterprises to get better results at the expo, the Shenzhen Municipal Commerce Bureau and some district-level commerce functions from Luohu, Longhua and Bao’an districts had respectively introduced their advantages and preferential policies for investment and cooperation. In addition, Shenzhen had released a series of policies and measures to boost enterprises inside and outside the city for better development.

This year, Shenzhen Duty-free Group positively participated in the CICPE, aiming to seek opportunities to boost its own development.

It has set up a couple of stores at local ports, and expanded its presence across the country from 2016, as well as established cooperation with over 500 high-end domestic and foreign brands.

Separately, “The signed agreement of cooperation with our Hainan counterparts is expected to open sales channels wider in the Hainan market for our products, including our latest Cleer bluetooth handset,” a manager from Shenzhen Grandsun Electronic Co. Ltd., said.
