A talent service station of Shenzhen Science Library, which integrates reading, training and research, was put into trial operation in March at the Talent Greenway in the Central Park of Shenzhen North Railway Station in Longhua District.

The service station, supported by the International Science and Technology Center under the guidance of the Shenzhen Municipal Science, Technology and Innovation Commission, provides the public free search and download access to online scientific literature from a total of six foreign-language journal datebases, namely, Science Citation Index Expanded, ScienceDirect, Springer Link, Nature, Wiley Online Library, and incopat. It also offers access to a total of 12 Chinese-language journal database such as CNKI to readership holders of Shenzhen Science Library.

In addition to the research resource, the service station has a library collection of over 4,000 books, covering topics such as Chinese and foreign literature, biography and scientific reference books. Holders of the Shenzhen Reader Card can borrow and return books at the station and gain access to the database of the Shenzhen Public Library.

Free training courses on literature research and database use are now available to the public at the service station.
