A red double-decker sightseeing bus departed from Longhua City Living Room today, marking the launch of Shenzhen’s sixth sightseeing bus line, the Purple Line, which connects major landmarks, places of interest and business circles in Longhua District.

The bus line, whose route is designed by Longhua District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau and Shenzhen Bus Group in alignment with the district’s family leisure and industrial tourism routes, makes stops at Shenzhen North Railway Station, Longhua City Living Room, Memorial Hall of Chinese Cultural Celebrity Rescue, UniWorld Shopping Mall, Guanlan Shanshuitianyuan Tourism and Culture Park, Guanlan Printing Village, Edixia Art Village, MH Mall and Guanlan Anicent Market.

The line is served by three electric-powered double-decker sightseeing buses, each featuring a transparent glass roof and audio interpretation systems available in eight languages.

Passengers have the option to purchase a 24-hour or 48-hour through ticket for the Shenzhen Sightseeing Bus, which allows for unlimited rides on six bus lines during the validity period. Additionally, the operator offers an exclusive 24-hour access pass for unlimited rides specifically on the Purple Line, available for purchase at the price of 19.8 yuan.

The Purple Line operates from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the buses are scheduled to depart at intervals of 90 to 120 minutes.

The introduction of the new sightseeing bus line serves as one of the strategies implemented by the Longhua District Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism, and Sports Bureau to encourage consumption within the local cultural and tourism industry during the summer holiday. In collaboration with the district's Industry and Information Technology Bureau, the bureau plans to organize additional events at local tourist attractions and business circles, while also distributing shopping vouchers to further boost engagement and support local businesses.
