The city’s first demonstration school for the “Botanical Garden Enters Campus” campaign was inaugurated at the Shenzhen Longhua Second Foreign Languages School on Friday.

The campaign aims to facilitate a vibrant and captivating ecological education and activities for both teachers and students. The program encompasses a spectrum of activities, ranging from plant surveys to biodiversity-themed learning and natural science exploration. Harnessing the expertise of the Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden in botany, ecology, and biodiversity conservation, the initiative capitalizes on the schools’ existing green spaces.

Participation in the campaign is voluntary, offering schools access to tailor-made educational programs provided by the Shenzhen Fairy Lake Botanical Garden. Moreover, the botanical garden is prepared to assemble a team of researchers and volunteers to design specialized courses based on the specific needs and interests of participating schools.
