The 9th Asian Winter Games were held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, from Feb. 7 to 14. Two enterprises from Shenzhen’s Longhua District, Auratic Group and Leju Robot, served as official suppliers for the event, providing banquet tableware and humanoid robots, respectively.

Auratic, a frequent supplier of China’s State banquet tableware and diplomatic gifts, provided a full set of Chinese banquet utensils called "Heavenly Purple" at the request of the organizing committee. The design of the tableware incorporated Harbin's landmarks and city flowers, with snowflake motifs symbolizing the spirit of the Asian Winter Games.

Leju Robot, headquartered in Longhua, specializes in the development and production of humanoid robots. A project by the company recently won second prize in the technological advancement category of the Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Science and Technology Award, the nation's highest honor recognizing outstanding contributions in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

Leju's latest humanoid robot, "KUAVO," was spotted during the torch relay of the Games on February 3. It was seen cheering and high-fiving with the torchbearers. As the country’s first open-source humanoid robot equipped with Kaihong OS, KUAVO is capable of walking on various types of terrain and overcoming barriers up to 20 centimeters in height.

The company has also developed a new model based on its AELOS educational robots, utilizing recycled aluminum-magnesium alloy materials. These robots were featured at cheerleading events and performances during the opening and closing ceremonies.

AELOS robots were part of the eight-minute city showcase by Beijing, host of the 2022 Winter Olympics, at the closing ceremony of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea in 2018.

Additionally, robots developed by Leju assisted curlers during training at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
