A one-stop service center for exported vehicles was launched in Longhua District on April 29.

Specifically aimed at facilitating the export of second-hand vehicles, the center streamlines procedures by offering a comprehensive, hassle-free service package that includes licensing, inspection, ownership transfer, and storage.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in Shenzhen’s efforts to boost its international trade competitiveness and strengthen its role in the global expansion of China’s automobile industry.

Longhua is now home to 12 enterprises qualified for second-hand car exports, ranking third citywide. In 2024, the district’s total export volume of second-hand vehicles ranked fourth in the city, according to Wang Dianjia, an official from the Longhua District government.

“To better support relevant enterprises, Longhua has taken an innovative approach by integrating resources to establish a one-stop service center that streamlines the car export process,” said Wang. He encouraged businesses to leverage the platform’s capabilities to accelerate their overseas expansion.

Shenzhen International Holdings Limited — a state-owned industrial conglomerate specializing in toll roads, logistics, port operations, and environmental protection — is collaborating with the Longhua government to develop this integrated platform.

According to Liu Zhengyu, President of Shenzhen International Holdings Limited, the company will serve as a cornerstone in upgrading digital and intelligent services, enhancing logistics infrastructure, and supporting Shenzhen’s vision of becoming a global logistics hub, while empowering Chinese automotive brands to go global.

Lu Weicong, Vice President of GAC Business Co., Ltd., highlighted the center’s strategic advantages, including the ability to leverage Shenzhen’s robust new energy vehicle (NEV) industrial chain and the broader resources of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. GAC plans to partner with the center through resource sharing and innovative business models to promote regional growth in automotive exports.

The launch ceremony was attended by over 100 government officials and representatives from vehicle export enterprises and related sectors. The event also featured the signing of strategic cooperation agreements between the center’s operator, business partners, industry stakeholders, and trade enterprises.
