The “Ever Summer Ever Future 2025” Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Employment Sharing Session for International Youth was held at the Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) in Longhua District on June 21.
Organized by the LICC, the event was co-hosted by the Foreign Affairs Bureau of Longhua District, the Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen (HITSZ), Diligentia College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and La French Tech.
Over 90 young people attended the event, including international students and expats from 28 countries.
The session kicked off with a presentation on current trends in the talent recruitment market by a spokesperson from the global recruitment agency Michael Page.

Representatives from Shenzhen Mate Youth City Industrial Group and Midori Creative then introduced industrial parks in Longhua and overseas startups. They highlighted the support services provided by the Qingchuang Zhiyuan Park for young innovators and entrepreneurs. They also explained how overseas creative companies leverage social media for international content promotion.
During an innovation sharing session, La French Tech HK/SZ explained how it helps international startups succeed locally by providing guidance, resources, and talent support.
Meanwhile, Kou Jimei of the UNDP SDG Innovation Lab (HUA HUB) unveiled a new program — the Sustainable International Block Youth Co-Creation Camp. He invited students to join the camp and develop real-world projects that apply sustainable development principles within megacities.
Riyad Ahmad, a Bangladeshi Ph.D. student studying management science and engineering at HITSZ, highlighted the importance of engaging with government initiatives. He also shared that he is committed to enhancing his resource allocation skills and integrating them into his future entrepreneurial projects.
Jeremy Zefanya Hardy, an Indonesian master’s student studying business administration at HITSZ, discussed the challenges faced by international students in job hunting and entrepreneurship in Shenzhen. “Mentorship is crucial because finding jobs is tough nowadays. Funding is equally vital for young entrepreneurs,” he noted.
The LICC will host a variety of events that will allow expats to experience the vibrant, international spirit of Longhua. The Explore Longhua program will feature diverse activities such as greenway cycling tours, football meet-ups, cultural and artistic excursions, and shopping trips. Each event will showcase and celebrate Longhua’s unique characteristics.
