Recreating wizardary wonders in Longhua

Believe it or not, the wizarding world depicted in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series has already cast its spell over Shenzhen, bringing to life the iconic Forbidden Forest ---bordering the grounds of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry --- at the Niuhu Waterfront Greenway in Longhua’s Guanlan Subdistrict.

The Shenzhen stop of “Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience” opened to fans during the National Day holiday and will run through next March. The program offers an immersive nighttime woodland walk filled with magical creatures and wizarding wonders from the “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” films.

Besides experiencing the magic up close, guests can visit a themed shop at the end of the trail, where they may enjoy dining and shop for souvenirs — the perfect finale to the night walk.


Following sell-out tours that drew over 2 million visitors across 11 cities worldwide, the program has now made its debut in China.


Tickets: 238 yuan per adult

Duration: approx. 60–90 minutes (the walking trail will take approx. 45–75 minutes)
