Aero-modeling finals of 15th National Games held in Longhua

The finals of aeromodeling races, an event participated by amateur athletes from the 15th National Games, kicked off amid a vibrant Yingge Dance at Longhua Culture and Sports Center on Oct. 14.


The matches will run at Longhua Culture and Sports Center, Jianshang Sports Complex and Liguang Golf Club through Oct. 19.

The aeromodeling category include six events: F9A drone soccer race (5-a-side), F9U drone racing (both individuals and teams), F1D-P indoor rubber-powered glider, P3Z-D indoor remote-control air combat (team), F3K RC hand-launched glider (team), and P3D gas-powered pylon racing aircraft (individual). These events encompass various types of aeromodels, combining both professionalism and mass participation.


After several rounds of preliminary competitions, 23 teams from across the country — including those from Beijing, Tianjin, Zhejiang, Sichuan, as well as the host team Guangdong Province, and teams from the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions (SARs) — have advanced to the finals, bringing together a total of 281 team leaders, coaches and athletes.
