A Russian delegation of about 30 people visited the Shenzhen Longhua International Cooperation Center (LICC) in Longhua District on Thursday to deepen industrial and financial ties and explore new business opportunities.
The visitors received briefings on the LICC’s services and were introduced to a wide array of products from Longhua-based companies active in the district’s flagship sectors — new energy, high-end medical devices, the low-altitude economy, integrated circuits and semiconductors, the digital economy, and modern fashion.
At a symposium, local officials introduced Shenzhen’s financial ecosystem as well as Longhua’s industrial policies and business environment.
Representing the Russian side, Vasilii Petrechenko, deputy CEO of MSU Science Park, outlined investment prospects in Russia. He noted that competitive pressure within the Russian market has eased with the withdrawal of some leading foreign firms, a situation that has created room for local and other foreign companies and seen in a rapid increase in their sales and profits.
Four Longhua-based companies presented their development status and flagship products to the Russian delegates, showcasing items such as smartwatches, AI glasses, drones, robotic laser sweepers, and handcrafted porcelain.
“I was impressed by the products demonstrated,” Petrechenko said. “We will test the performance of different products in the Russian market, and I hope we can achieve success together.”
Iakov Barkar, chief product officer of Russia’s flag carrier and largest airline Aeroflot, expressed hope for deeper integration with the Chinese market to provide better flight services for Chinese passengers traveling to Russia.
Referring to the more than 200 products on display at the LICC’s International Marketing Center for Enterprise Products, Barkar singled out the drone series and the exquisite porcelain as particularly promising. “I think we can bring some of these products to Russia to complement the local market,” he added.
