A deal worth 200 billion yuan, along with seven memorandums of cooperation, was signed between Longhua and Latin American enterprises during a visit to Mexico City and São Paulo by a delegation led by Longhua District Mayor Lei Weihua from Nov. 1 to 7.

The delegation visited government agencies including the Department of International Affairs and Sister Cities of Mexico State, the Committee of International Affairs of the Legislative Congress of São Paulo, and the Investment Promotion Bureau of São Paulo State; Mexican and Brazilian enterprises engaged in electronics manufacturing, technology, and commercial services; as well as local innovation institutions, industrial parks, and business associations.

Longhua District hosted business promotion conferences in Mexico City and São Paulo, attracting a total of over 150 Mexican and Brazilian government officials, entrepreneurs, and scholars. During the conferences, Lei introduced Longhua’s business environment and highlighted cooperation potential between the two regions in industrial development, sci-tech innovation, and urban governance.

A spokesperson from the district’s Industry and Information Technology Bureau presented Longhua’s locational advantages and industrial layout, inviting more Mexican and Brazilian talents and enterprises to explore opportunities in the district.

Representatives from the Economic Development Bureau of Mexico State and the Investment Promotion Agency of São Paulo expressed their desire to deepen cooperation with Shenzhen in technological innovation, advanced manufacturing, and consumer industries, and to jointly foster a more favorable and efficient entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem.

Enterprises from Longhua District — including Shenzhen Longhua Construction and Development Group, Shenzhen Hello-Tech Energy Co., Ltd., Shenzhen CYX Industrial Co., Ltd., and shenzhen tianma microelectronics co. — gave presentations focusing on urban renewal, new energy storage, semiconductors, and display technologies.
