As the Lunar New Year approaches, Longhua is set to bring back one of its most beloved seasonal traditions. From Feb. 7 to 14, Guanhu Central Park will transform into a vibrant Spring Festival Flower Market, offering residents a colorful blend of shopping, entertainment, and cultural celebrations.
This year’s market carries the theme “Golden Horse Brings Blessings, Blossoms Brighten Longhua,” ushering in the Year of the Horse with a modern twist on festive customs.

A fresh take on a beloved tradition
For many Shenzhen locals, visiting the flower market is an essential New Year ritual. It’s a time to choose auspicious plants, stock up on decorations, and soak in the atmosphere of renewal.
The 2026 Longhua Spring Festival Flower Market will feature 60 curated vendor stalls, organized into themed sections including:
Flower zone (orchids, winterberries, kumquats, bonsai);
Festive goods and spring couplets;
Creative crafts and cultural products;
Street food and local snacks;
Jewelry and seasonal accessories;
Family-friendly entertainment and play areas.
Whether you’re picking out lucky blooms or enjoying a bite with friends, the market is designed as a one-stop destination for all things festive.
More than just flowers
This year, organizers are introducing a new “flower market+” concept, expanding the traditional market into a comprehensive holiday experience. The event will include:
Live performances on Feb. 7 and 8;
Interactive exhibits and family activities;
Photo-friendly setups for capturing the holiday spirit;
A mix of traditional and modern offerings for all ages.
It’s part of a broader effort to turn the market into a “Spring Festival lifestyle fair,” where shopping, food, entertainment, and culture come together.
