Shenzhen-based semiconductor testing equipment maker Shenzhen SEICHI Technologies Co., Ltd. (SEICHITECH) broke ground on its first self-built manufacturing base in Longhua District on Oct. 10, marking a significant expansion of its production capabilities as the district accelerates its efforts to build a world-class semiconductor technology hub.
Located near Jinxiu Science Park in Guanhu Subdistrict, the new facility will specialize in semiconductor memory testing equipment. The project covers approximately 11,000 square meters of land, with a planned gross floor area of about 42,000 square meters.
The facility will integrate research and development, manufacturing and supporting operations, allowing the company to improve coordination between product development and large-scale production while expanding its manufacturing and delivery capacity.
SEICHITECH is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market and has been recognized as a national-level specialized and innovative "Little Giant" enterprise. The company develops testing equipment for semiconductors and advanced displays and has the largest domestic market share in flexible AMOLED display inspection equipment.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, company chairman Zhang Bin said advances in artificial intelligence are reshaping the semiconductor industry, with testing increasingly extending beyond mass-production verification to earlier stages of research and development.
He said the new base would help SEICHITECH strengthen its core technologies, improve coordination across research, manufacturing and delivery, and deepen collaboration with suppliers and customers to address technical challenges and support large-scale production.
Expanding semiconductor industry cluster

The project is part of Longhua's broader efforts to attract advanced manufacturing companies and build a semiconductor industry cluster around Jinxiu Science Park.
In June, the district made four industrial land plots available for projects involving six technology companies specializing in semiconductor equipment, automation, precision manufacturing and intelligent devices.
Among them, Lihexing and Aursen Automation are jointly developing a high-end semiconductor and automation equipment base. Boshi Technology and Union Precision are collaborating on a facility for 3D-printed precision components and intelligent equipment, while Xinguan Precision is focusing on robotics and wearable devices.
Together, the projects are expected to generate more than 10 billion yuan in annual industrial output once they are completed andreach full production capacity, according to the district's development projections.
Longhua is developing a world-class semiconductor technology hub focused on three areas: semiconductor equipment, advanced packaging and testing, and compound semiconductors. The district aims to build on its existing manufacturing strengths while complementing other semiconductor industry centers across Shenzhen.
By the end of the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026–2030), Longhua aims to increase the annual output of its semiconductor and integrated circuit industry cluster to more than 100 billion yuan.
SEICHITECH's new facility is expected to strengthen the district's semiconductor testing equipment manufacturing capabilities and consolidate research, production and supply chain activities as Longhua expands its role in Shenzhen's semiconductor industry.
