Shenzhen issues new anti-epidemic travel policy

Travelers coming or returning to Shenzhen from high-risk areas for COVID-19 and those holding red health codes are required to undergo a 14-day centralized quarantine, according to the latest travel policy released by the city’s COVID-19 prevention and control commanding office.


Those coming or returning to Shenzhen from medium-risk areas must undergo a 14-day home quarantine, as per the policy.


Meanwhile, Shenzhen-bound passengers who will take flights, trains and long-distance buses from the country’s medium- and high-risk areas and places with positive COVID-19 cases must hold negative nucleic acid test reports issued within 48 hours before boarding and take another nucleic acid test upon arrival.


According to the latest travel policy, travelers coming or returning to Shenzhen from high-risk areas and those holding red health codes must undergo a 14-day centralized quarantine, and take a nucleic acid test every day on the first seven days and on the 10th and 14th day.


Those coming or returning to Shenzhen from medium-risk areas must undergo a 14-day home quarantine and take a nucleic acid test on the first, third, seventh and 14th day.


Travelers coming or returning to Shenzhen from counties or districts with high-risk areas are required to undergo a seven-day home quarantine and seven-day home-based health monitoring, and take a nucleic acid test on the first, third, seventh and 14th day.


Inbound travelers from Hong Kong must carry out a seven-day centralized quarantine, seven-day home quarantine and seven-day home-based health monitoring. Those from Macao must hold negative nucleic acid test reports issued within 48 hours.


Overseas passengers, except those from Hong Kong and Macao, are required to undergo a 14-day centralized quarantine and seven-day home-based health monitoring.


In addition, the city requires that all passengers entering the airport, railway stations, long-distance bus stations and ferry terminals must have their temperatures checked, present green health codes and wear masks.
